I can't use ePSXe because it's too demanding for my netbook and won't work with my 圆4 PC. This is supposed to be the best PlayStation emulator, and it doesn't even work. Other people have apparently had the exact same problems as me, but in every case the topics and bug reports they posted to get help were never even acknowledged! I have yet to attempt my brother's laptop, but I bet it won't work there anymore either. I try my netbook again in frustration, and surprise surprise it doesn't work. Then I tried to get it working on my Desktop. It also didn't work with my netbook at first, but then just today I tried it after it worked on my brother's laptop and after an update to the video driver it worked on the netbook too. The emulator will play a game the first time it is opened, and recently worked multiple times on my brother's laptop when I tried it there the first time. I can give the specs to each one upon request, but I'd rather not post the specifications to multiple computers all at once. My laptop (a netbook), my brother's laptop, and my desktop. I am trying to get PCSX Reloaded, version 1.9.92, to work on three computers. I really want to get this thing running and I'm sure it can work, although Crossover didn't seem to like the ePSXe executable file I used, either.I am unable to find an answer no matter how much I Google for answers or mess with the settings. There is no code posted or error message. app while Wine was running the new prefix, and here is what happens:ĮPSXe starts under X11, then quits immediately without loading a window/splash screen. It created the prefix successfully, and then I started up Wine, and double-clicked on my new ePSXe. exe file that came with my ePSXe 1.7 download. When I created the new prefix in Winebottler, I selected 'copy' and chose the. I am currently running Snow Leopard, build 10.6.2, by the way. I followed the instructions I found from your posts and links, and then grabbed BIOS files, plugins (graphics, sound, cd-r), and the zlib folder and put them in their appropriate spot in a folder inside my Applications folder entitled 'ePSXe.' I installed Wine and Winebottler in an effort to get ePSXe working on my 13" MBPro. I need some help here, please bear with me as I am not a very experienced command line junkie in the least. Though, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for PCSX Reloaded on the Mac, so i'll be looking out for it with future updates. But I now have a transition layer (wine) running a windows app, running a playstation emulator with an xbox controller, all working pretty perfect to my standards.Īnd upon saying this, at the same time I almost got ePCSx 2 working, though the error it spits out is unlike an error that I myself (I'm crappy with computer) could fix. Now, I know that isn't what you are talking about, since this is about plugins. Resolution set around 800圆00, though these look pretty smooth compared to the mac version. Now, upon these tests, I somehow arrived with Crossover Games 8.1.1 and ePCSe, which after around 10 hours of fixing (yep, I have way too much free time) I have it running almost perfect with Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.77 Video Plugin. Silent Hill runs super quick, and Crash Team Racing does not display models correctly, and sometimes in races, it doesn't display them at all, especially boxes for power-ups. But under strenuous testing, I've came to the conclusion that the graphics are somewhat buggy, and some games are somewhat unstable. I don't know much about PCSX, but I tried it yesterday in fact, which is how I've arrived at this post.
